Systematics, biology, ecology, zoogeography and evolution of Chilopods. Terrestrial zoocenosis of semi-natural ecosystems (soil arthropods). Zoocoenosis of urban and anthropized habitats (terrestrial fauna). Allochthonous and invasive species of the Italian fauna (terrestrial and freshwater invertebrates). Nature conservation.
